Order Types
Order Types are used to designate how the order will be treated.
Different order types are set up in a restaurant system based on considerations such as service types, order processes, inventory management, data analysis, and customer experience to facilitate order handling, streamline operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
You can customize a dining method, which will be displayed and distinguished on the order and receipt. For example, if you add take-out as a new dining option, the chef will directly put the dishes into the take-out box when he sees take-out on the receipt.
If you want to configure order types, you can do in Peppr as follows:
1. Dining option
In Peppr Web, navigate to Front of house > Dining Options and click ➕New dining option to add a new dining option.
Click the “pencil“ button in actions to change the name.
2. Default value
Click the Default value behind a dining option to set it as the default option. The dining option set as default value will be selected by default on POS in different scenarios.
3. Status
Click Activate in the actions section to set it to an Activate state. If it is successfully activated after clicking, a success sign will appear and you can set it as a default option.
Click Archive and change it to the Archive state.
Tab the “filter“ button to filter dining options in different status.
